What Skills should a solo founder install on Codex? 3 must-have bundles for one-person companies

Solo founders and OPCs tested — install with one command

1-second copy — Codex auto-installs — free, no extra credits

"I bought Codex, but don't know how to use it"

"As an indie dev, breaking the information gap is harder than writing code. Seven months full-time, staying ahead by listening to 5 AI podcasts. Installed Codex but have no idea if it can scan news for me daily — still opening the browser and scrolling manually."
— Reddit — Indie dev info sources
"One person acting as PM, developer, designer, tester — never enough time. Subscribed to Codex, but every time I just open it to ask one question. No idea how to make it cover multiple roles at once."
— X — Solo founder wearing all hats
"Ran an AI-powered one-person company for 3 months — really hard to pull off. I treated Codex as a single-point chat tool, so AI only handled basic execution. I was still forced to be reviewer, ops, customer service, and BD. Headcount didn't decrease."
— Reddit — OPC 3-month field report

These voices scattered across Reddit and X capture the daily reality of solo founders running a one-person company with Codex.

Install deep-skill-finder once — let Codex find Skills on its own
The startup tasks you need — industry trends, competitor monitoring, investment research — all have matching Skills on Meyo. But you don't have to find them one by one. Once you install deep-skill-finder (DSF), Codex automatically searches Meyo's 50,000+ Skill library whenever it receives a task, and recommends the best-matching approach. You just say what to do; finding the right Skill is the Agent's job.
Copy the command, then paste it to Claude Code / Codex / Cursor / WorkBuddy — your Agent installs it automatically:
Please install the deep-skill-finder skill: download from https://www.meyo.life/skill-finder, unpack into your local skill directory and enable it.

FAQ

Q: Will deep-skill-finder's proactive search interrupt me while I'm using Codex?
A: No. Codex only searches via deep-skill-finder when you send a clear task, and after finding candidates it asks for confirmation before installing. It won't act on its own. Casual chat and copywriting won't trigger it.
Q: Are the 3 Skill bundles free? Will they cost extra Codex credits?
A: All 9 Skills across the 3 bundles are free and open-source. Skills themselves don't consume credits — only when Codex executes a Skill does it count against your normal API usage. Using Skills actually saves tokens compared to writing prompts from scratch, because the instruction structure is already optimized.
Q: I don't use Codex — I use Claude Code or Cursor. Can I still install these Skills?
A: Absolutely. These Skills are cross-agent by design — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and WorkBuddy all work. The install process is identical: download the archive from meyo.life/skills, unpack it into your Agent's Skill directory, and you're set.
Q: I installed a Skill but Codex can't find it — what do I do?
A: 90% of the time it's a wrong directory path (different Codex versions use different paths). The easiest fix: install deep-skill-finder, then tell Codex "diagnose my skill directory" — it will self-troubleshoot and suggest fixes.
Q: Has anyone actually built real things with these Skills?
A: Meyo tags Skills with real-user execution data (the "verified by N users" badge on each card). For concrete examples, scan the QR code above to join the Discord community — we share real use cases regularly.
Q: I don't want to install deep-skill-finder — can I just manually install a specific Skill?
A: Absolutely. Every Skill card above has a "Copy command" button on the right — copy and paste it to your Agent and it installs on its own. deep-skill-finder simply lets Codex find Skills on its own later; it's not a prerequisite.
